Bisquick Peach Cobbler
This Bisquick Peach Cobbler is so easy to whip up you’ll love to make it again for dessert or breakfast anytime. And because it only makes three servings, two if you like them bigger, it’s a nice small-batch dessert for everyone living in small households.
Gently spiced cobbler topping tastes wonderful when it bakes up with canned peaches in this easy spiced peach cobbler. If you don’t like cinnamon and nutmeg with you peaches you can leave them out. But I love the way the warm spices work with the fragrant peaches.
What Do You Need to Make This Easy Peach Cobbler?
Not a lot! In fact, the whole recipe has just seven ingredients.
- Bisquick baking mix
- butter
- milk
- canned peaches
- sugar
- cinnamon and nutmeg
What kind of peaches do you need?
This recipe calls for canned peaches. I used canned peaches in water. If you only have canned peaches in light syrup you can cut down on the sugar a little. I would leave out most of the sugar if you only have canned peaches in heavy syrup.
You can also use homemade canned peaches if you like. Typically those are made with a heavy syrup so cut down on the sugar.
If you don’t know how much sugar to use in the cobbler made with peaches in light or heavy syrup, here’s an easy way to know how much sugar to use. Taste the peaches, if they’re sweet add about half of the sugar. If they’re very sweet, cut down the sugar to about a quarter of the amount called for.
Start with a small amount of the sugar, stir it into the peaches, and taste them. They should be sweet but not overly sweet. If they’re not sweet enough, add more and stir again.
Can I use a generic baking mix?
I think most baking mixes like Bisquick or the generic variety are generally the same. So yes, I think you can swap the baking mix out for a generic version.
Got Leftovers?
Cover the leftovers and store at room temperature for up to 24 hours. Then, pop them in the refrigerator after that.

Bisquick Peach Cobbler
Equipment
- 1 or 1 1/2 quart baking dish you can use a loaf pan if you like
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup salted butter melted
- 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 15 ounce canned peaches you can use sliced or diced
- 6 TBSP sugar
Instructions
- preheat the oven to 375°
- put the baking mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, milk, and melted butter in the baking dish
- stir together, it will be a little lumpy, but that's ok
- drain the peaches, you can save the juice or syrup as desired, the peaches don't need to be patted dry, just drain them
- put the peaches in a small mixing bowl, add enough of the sugar to the peaches so they're sweet, a little sweeter than you would want to eat, don't worry that sugar will actually work really well in the cobbler topping, trust me
- spoon the peaches over the topping mix in the baking dish
- drizzle any leftover sugar over the top of the cobbler mix
- bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until the top is set and lightly browned
