Craving semi-homemade biscuits, and you don’t want to make a colossal batch?? Grab these smaller batch directions and get baking. You’ll be happy you did because having a fresh hot biscuit with dinner or breakfast is everything!
When you want good biscuits, and you don’t have time to make a homemade biscuit recipe, these easy biscuits will do the trick. And honestly, they work when time is tight and you don’t want to make a mess. You just stir, knead lightly, cut out and bake
This small batch makes just 4 biscuits. You could go bigger and make just two mega biscuits. Or you can make drop biscuits of whatever size you prefer.
Pair these with our Denver Omelet and you’ve got breakfast, or breakfast for dinner, pretty much in hand. Of course, a good biscuit slathered with butter is pretty solid with any main dish like blackened chicken or these oven baked bbq ribs!
OR try this lower-sugar carrot cake jam on biscuits; that is a life-changing pairing right there.
What You Need to Make These Biscuits
Luckily, when using Biscuik Baking Mix, you don’t need a lot of ingredients.
- Bisquick Baking Mix
- milk
- oil
- small baking sheet
Do You Knead Biscuit Dough?
Yes, you read that right way up there; I do, indeed, knead Bisqcuik biscuit dough very lightly. I fold it and flatten it, fold it and flatten it. About 6-8 times, it helps build your layers and, in my opinion, makes a better biscuit.
But do it gently, and don’t over-knead the dough. If you do over-knead biscuit dough, you’ll develop the gluten in the flour and make tough biscuits. So do it lightly. And only a few times.
Got Leftovers?
If you have one or two leftover biscuits simply wrap them up and store them for breakfast the next day. It can be sliced and toasted. Or reheated in the air fryer.
