Whatever you call it, I hope you have one. Because WOW, this easy make-ahead dinner is perfect for those no-cook nights.

What If I Have Boneless Pork Chops
You can use boneless pork chops, just use roughly 3/4s-1 pound for two servings. Even boneless pork chops, with their reputation for being tough, cook up tender in the crock pot. So you shouldn’t have trouble with tough chops.
What To Serve With Smothered Chops?
These chops can be served with mashed potatoes or pasta. I think they taste great with my Dutch Oven Bread. Or Biscuits. And then a fresh salad on the side. Perfect and easy.
About Your Crock Pot/Slow Cooker
Be aware that all slow cookers cook at different temperatures. That means your crock pot smothered pork chops may take longer to cook or less time to cook. It depends on your machine. So the first time you make this, you might want to do it on a weekend when it doesn’t matter if it takes longer.
Got Leftovers?
Since this recipe only makes two servings, chances are you won’t have leftovers if you’re a family of two or three. But if you do, just store them in an airtight container. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop for best results. Leftovers make great lunches or a second dinner for one.

Can I use fresh mushrooms?
I don’t see why not. Although fresh mushrooms have more liquid in them so the final dish will be more watery. Maybe cook them first until they release the liquid.
