Equipment

  • 2 oven-proof casserole dishes

Ingredients

  • cooking spray or butter for the baking dishes
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes heated up
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese use any shredded cheese you like
  • 2 TBSP crumbled, cooked bacon
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • pinch onion powder
  • pinch salt taste add more as desired
  • pinch pepper taste add more as desired
  • 1 tsp minced parsley optional

Instructions

  • preheat the oven to 350°
  • lightly oil the baking dishes
  • add the hot potatoes and everything else to a mixing bowl and stir to combine
  • taste the mixture, add more garlic, onion, salt and pepper as desired
  • divide the mixture between the baking dishes
  • lightly cover with foil and place on a small baking pan
  • bake for 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for 5 more minutes
  • sprinkle with minced parsley before serving if desired
