preheat the oven to 375°
put the baking mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, milk, and melted butter in the baking dish
stir together, it will be a little lumpy, but that's ok
drain the peaches, you can save the juice or syrup as desired, the peaches don't need to be patted dry, just drain them
put the peaches in a small mixing bowl, add enough of the sugar to the peaches so they're sweet, a little sweeter than you would want to eat, don't worry that sugar will actually work really well in the cobbler topping, trust me
spoon the peaches over the topping mix in the baking dish
drizzle any leftover sugar over the top of the cobbler mix
bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until the top is set and lightly browned
