make the marinade: Mix the oil, 2 tsp lemon juice, garlic, rosemary, onion powder, 1 tsp lemon zest, salt, and pepper together
pat the chicken dry and put it in a flat bowl
pour the marinade over the chicken
turn to coat
cover and refrigerate for at least one hour but up to 4 hours works great too
when you're ready to cook preheat the air fryer to 400° for five minutes
shake off the extra marinade and place the tenderloins in the basket of the hot air fryer
air fry on 400° for 12-15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, you can check for doneness by using a digital thermometer it should read 165° to be well cooked
if making sandwiches wrap the pitas in foil and warm in a hot oven or toaster oven for 5 minutes or so just until warm, serve the chicken on top of the warmed pitas, with lettuce, tomatoes, tahini and sour cream as desired
